AUBURN — Gloria Davis Wadsworth, 90, of South Paris, passed away Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Hospice House in Auburn when she went to be with her predeceased husband, Carroll, in Heaven.

Gloria is survived by her two sons, Larry Wadsworth and George and his wife, Cindy Wadsworth; sister, Carolyn Farrington; two brothers, Dick and wife, Cathy Davis, and Jim and his wife, Maritza Davis; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She will be missed.

Gloria was a very devoted born-again Christian, putting her religion first and foremost in her life and toward her family and friends.

She graduated in 1943 from high school and went on to graduate from secretarial school, which prepared her for secretarial and bookkeeping work at Trask’s Auto Sales, Diamond International Lumber, L.M. Longley & Son and H & R Block.

When she finally fully retired, she spent years doing things together with her husband of 65 blissful years, Carroll, square dancing, fishing, or just going to the dump. They enjoyed each other fully.

Gloria was devastated on Jan. 5, 2012, when Carroll passed. She never fully recovered from that loss, but now they are reunited.

Gloria was a wonderful wife, mom, grandmom, great-grandmom and friend to all. She will be greatly missed.

“The family would like to send a special thanks to our good friends, Priscilla DiConzo and Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice for being there for mom up to the very end.”
