I agree with Dolores Grondin (letter, Sept. 14) concerning the use, or non-use, of crosswalks.

More often than not, children at the Lewiston Middle School do not use the crosswalks either. It appears they follow the example of the adults in Lewiston and just do what they want, regardless of the consequences. The use of cellphones is a major factor in the disregard of the rules, for children and adults.

Well, it is Lewiston, and the adult population evidently just does not care. For example — check out the “speedway” on Sabattus Street or the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Bridge. That just shows the lack of citizenship displayed in Lewiston.
