Comedians will include Mark Turcotte, Michele Mortensen and Tuck Tucker.
Turcotte is a married father of two and lifelong New Englander. Most of his material is mined from his tumultuous upbringing, marrying out of his league and his impending demise. In 2012, he began the Comedy Fix fundraising series, which has raised money for a variety of local nonprofits including the Dempsey Center, National Alliance on Mental Illness, Good Shepherd Food Bank, and Greater Androscoggin Humane Society. In 2016 Turcotte was a semi-finalist in the World Series of Comedy at McCurdy’s Comedy Theatre in Sarasota, Florida. He competed in the Last Comix Standing competition at Foxwoods Casino and was a finalist in the 2014 Funniest Comic on the East Coast contest at Mohegan Sun.
A versatile performer, Mortensen often sings and performs her own song parodies in her act. Mortensen has played at clubs throughout the East Coast, including the Comedy Studio and Mottley’s Comedy Club in Boston, Headliners in Manchester, New Hampshire, as well Side Splitters and Coconuts in Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida, and the Fireside Grille in Charleston, South Carolina. She has performed with numerous headliners, including finalists from “Last Comic Standing,” Myq Kaplan, Gary Gulman, Michele Balan, Dave Russo, Robbie Printz, Paul Nardizzi and Dave McDonough. In 2010 she was a finalist in the New Hampshire’s Funniest Comic contest and was selected to perform in the first annual Plymouth Rock Comedy Festival.
Tucker’s physical comedy and verbal wit are a recipe for fall-off-your-chair funny. He loves to revisit the years he spent growing up in his brand of humor, or share his job experience working at a funeral home. He can be found most often at his home club in Portland working out new material.
Tickets are $14 for adults and $12 for seniors 60 and older. All tickets are general admission; members receive priority seating. Purchasing tickets in advance is recommended. The event may feature adult content.
