WAYNE — Veteran columnist and journalist Douglas Rooks will share excerpts from “Statesman: George Mitchell and the Art of the Possible” at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at Cary Memorial Library, 17 Old Winthrop Road.

The book traces the path from Mitchell’s humble beginnings in Waterville to becoming a respected public figure of national and international standing. The library expects to have copies available for purchase and signing.

The program is free and open to the public.
