RUMFORD — The Rumford Police Department responded to 97 complaints in the past week:
• Sept. 20, 9:30 a.m.: A Cumberland Street resident reported the theft of property from her prior residence while she was staying elsewhere. Officer Matthew Desroches is investigating.
• Sept. 18, 1:17 p.m.: A Franklin Street resident reported that someone keyed her vehicle while it was parked on Franklin Street. Cpl. Lawrence Winson is investigating.
• Sept. 17, 11:32 a.m.: A Pine Street resident reported a delivered package was stolen from the front steps. Value of the property was $170. Cpl. Lawrence Winson is investigating.
• Sept. 15, 10:07 p.m.: Rodney Jarvis, 49, of Mexico was arrested on a charge of operating while his license was suspended or revoked by officer Lawrence Briggs on Franklin Street. Jarvis is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Nov. 14 at 8:30 a.m. Jarvis was released on $400 unsecured bail.
