PORTLAND (AP) — Police say they seized nearly 18 pounds of marijuana during a routine investigation into a child custody matter in Bath.

A Bath detective noticed that the home reeked of marijuana, and the residents, Joseph Plummer and Alison Hartill, showed him the stash.

Police estimated the street value of the drug to be $70,000.

Both Plummer and Hartill were issued summonses charging them with unlawful possession of a drug. They are due to appear in West Bath District Court on Nov. 22. It was unclear if they had a lawyer.
