WILTON — The Wilton Free Public Library announces Jen Scott is the new library director.

Scott grew up in Farmington and graduated from Northeastern University. She has worked at several area libraries and brings a wealth of experience to her new position.

“Librarianship never crossed my mind as a career path, until I fell into it,” she said. “I’m now hooked; I solidly know that library service is where I belong, and I can’t imagine thriving in another career.”

Scott has many exciting visions for the library and is looking forward to working with the staff to implement them.

The Wilton Free Public Library Association was incorporated in 1901 and the Goodspeed Memorial Library Building was built in 1915.

The library is generously supported by the community and has served residents for over 100 years. It welcomes people of all ages to spend time reading, using the Wi-Fi, playing and participating in its programs.
