I write in support of Kent Ackley, who is running as an independent for House District 82 (Litchfield, Monmouth and Wales). I have had direct experience with Ackley, with whom I have consulted regarding several problems encountered in my home.
He is creative, looks at the facts on both sides of the question, is sensitive to cost and looks to the long-term resolution of problems.
He is sensitive to the education needs of the youth, engaging them in the problem-solving process.
He identifies with the effects of increased taxes, the needs of senior citizens, the middle class and the problems small business entrepreneurs encounter.
He has been actively involved in the protection of area lakes from milfoil invasion.
As a senior citizen, I have life experiences that give me some ability to notice who is worthy of the office and can make actual change.
