CANTON — The town’s Recreation Department will host its inaugural Town Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at the town’s ball field on School Street.

The event is free.

For children, there will be a bounce house, face painting and pumpkin painting. Children should bring their own pumpkin if they can. They can also try their luck at winning a prize at the fish cup game or ring toss game. Costumed characters Tobi the Australian sheepdog and Angus the springer spaniel will be available all day to interact with children and to get their pictures taken.

Attendees can play a round of disc golf, and the Streaked Mountain Woodcarver’s Club will provide demonstrations.

Crafters and vendors will be present. The snack shack will sell favorites such as cheeseburgers and chicken tenders.

Entertainment will be provided by magician Mark of Mark’s Magic, as well as by singer Terry Moore.
