1958 – 2016
PORTLAND — Lydia Therrien, 58, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, Oct. 9, at Mercy Hospital in Portland.
Lydia was born Jan. 21, 1958, the daughter of Chester Hewins and Francelina Amorim Hewins in Brockton, Mass. She attended school in Greene, graduated from Leavitt Area High School and the University of Southern Maine.
She was employed by Norway Savings Bank. Lydia was a loving wife to Garry Therrien for 26 years.
She is survived by her husband, Garry Therrien of Windham; her mother, Francelina Pratt of Livermore Falls; her sister, Lynn Beaudin and her husband, Paul, of Monmouth; her brother, Gregory Hewins and his wife, Kathy, of Vero Beach, Fla.; her sister, Brenda Alden of Readfield; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father; and grandparents. Everyone who met Lydia loved her. Lydia loved animals, had a gentle spirit and a great sense of humor.
