1971 – 2016

LEWISTON — Rene E. Dubois Jr., 45, a resident of Ferry Road, Lisbon, passed away peacefully Monday, Oct. 10, at Central Maine Medical Center following a brief illness with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Lewiston on Sept. 6, 1971, the son of Rene E. and Barbara A. (Perry) Dubois Sr. Rene attended Lisbon schools and was a 1990 graduate of Lisbon High School. There, he was an All-American hockey player and also played high school baseball and football.

Following high school he began his career as a roofer for several years until he established his own business, Elite Power Washing and General Contracting.

He met the love of his life and best friend, the former Paula L’Italien, and together they married in 2004.

Rene was very generous with his time, supporting local charities, and was a member of the Helping Hands Fellowship in Lisbon. He also was an avid lifelong hockey player and had a deep passion for playing the game of golf with his loving wife and best friend, Paula.

Survivors include his parents, Rene and Barbara, of Lisbon; his wife, Paula L’Italien of Lisbon; two brothers, Kenneth Saucier of Lisbon and Christopher Saucier and wife, Vicky, of Cape Coral, Fla.; two sisters, Angela DiMarco of Clearwater, Fla., and Theresa Carver and husband, John, of Minot; and 22 nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his “Faithful Companion,” an English setter, Moses, and his two cats, Smokey and The Bandit.
