I had the pleasure of working with both sides of the aisle in the Legislature. At the local level, Katy Grondin was a steadfast advocate for building a new school in Auburn. She reached out to Democrats and Republicans to make the case for securing state funds for a new school. I supported her message in Augusta.
Sen. Eric Brakey was actively involved in the meetings with Grondin. And, to Auburn’s benefit, he took the legislative action to ensure Auburn retained its place of priority in securing state funds for a new school.
I encourage Democrats and Republicans to support the re-election of Eric Brakey. He gets results.
Having served in state government, I met many strong, intelligent, honest women. While George Washington was America’s first male president, this country can do much better than Hillary Clinton for the first female president. She is no George Washington.
Rep. David Sawicki, Auburn
