We are proud to support Jim Handy for state representative in District 58.

Handy was born and raised in Lewiston to a working-class family. His dad, a postal worker, was a veteran of World War II and Korea. His mom worked in area mills. His values are reflective of what he learned growing up in Lewiston. He and his children attended Lewiston Public Schools. He and his family could have chosen to live anywhere but made the choice to stay in Lewiston, the city he truly loves.

I have known Handy since we were in the same college classes together. As a former state senator and representative, he always had the best interest of the working-class Lewistonians. He is a strong advocate of education, having served several terms on the school committee and as its chairman.

Jim Handy will always have the people of Lewiston in mind as he serves them.
