1934 – 2016

WEST PARIS — Walter passed away peacefully on Monday, Oct. 3, at his home in West Paris with his wife by his side.

Walter was born on Feb. 6, 1934, in Hempstead, N.Y. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was known for driving a school bus for Oxford Hills for 20 years.

He enjoyed his summers at Camp Wigwam helping out wherever needed. Walt was a sports enthusiast. He also enjoyed reading, travel and playing cards.

Walter had four children with his first wife and had five stepchildren from his second marriage to Shirley Moyse. Walt and Shirley were married Sept. 1, 1980, and enjoyed 36 years together.
