AUBURN — The wedding of Dianna Tracy DeCosta (Missy from Doctor Who) and Jason Kenneth Larrabee (Darth Vader) was held at 3 p.m. on Oct. 1 at the Larrabee Farm in Auburn. Mikel Reblin, the Emperor, ordained minister of a galaxy far, far away, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Larrabee is the daughter of Jeri Bartley (Cyberqueen) of Poland and Peter DeCosta (Cyberman) of Minot. Mr. Larrabee is the son of Evangeline Burns and William “Bill” Larrabee of Auburn.

The theme was 1950 Rockabilly meets Star Wars and Doctor Who, accompanied by her fathers, cybermen from Doctor Who, dressed in 1950s shirts and black jeans. The bride, Missy from Doctor Who, walked down the aisle wearing a 1950s rockabilly swing dress with a blue ribbon. In lieu of flowers she carried a sonic screwdriver.

The bridegroom, Darth Vader, from Star Wars, wore black 1950s attire with the Vader helmet. The best man, Bobba Fett from Star Wars, was dressed in 1950s shirt and pants and the Bobba helmet and the groomsmen were 1950s storm-troopers. The matron of honor, the Rani from Doctor Who, was dressed in a silver and black 1950s swing dress and the bridesmaids, the Daleks from Doctor Who, were dressed in navy blue 1950s dresses. The mother of the bride, the Cyberqueen from Doctor Who, was dressed in black 1950s swing dress complete with parasol and Cyberqueen crown. The Officiate was the ever powerful Emperor from Star Wars with two senate guards at his side. The ring bearer, the couples’ daughter, was dressed as the fourth Doctor (Baker) from Doctor Who, and the flower girl was dressed as R2D2. The procession came into the TARDIS (it is bigger on the inside) for the ceremony and were greeted by their family and friends dressed as various Star Wars and Doctor Who characters.

The reception followed at the Old Larrabee Farms property, a beautiful field of rolling hills and jagged, autumn tree lines. The couple enjoyed the Fryeburg Fair for their honeymoon. They are residing in Livermore Falls.

The matron of honor was Martina Hairston, sister of the bride and bridesmaids were Tia Warner, the bride’s sister; Taryn Hairston, the bride’s niece; and Jeri Bartley, the bride’s mother. Flower girl was Gabriella Fisher, friend of the family.

Best man was Bill Spearinn Jr., best friend of the bridegroom. Ushers were Devyn DeCosta, the bride’s nephew; Dylan Wood, the bride’s nephew; Charles Darling, friend of the couple; Derrick Fogg, friend of the couple; and Geoff Fisher, friend of the couple. Ring bearer was Alexis Larrabee, daughter of the couple.

The bride is a current AmeriCorps VISTA member with Goodwill NNE Partnerships, serving at the Center for Wisdom’s Women in Lewiston.

The bridegroom is customer service representative with Dunkin’ Donuts.
