Senate District 20, (Auburn, Mechanic Falls, Minot, New Gloucester and Poland) has an opportunity for a fresh new beginning by electing an extremely qualified candidate for senator. She is young, educated, ambitious and energetic. She has done community service, understands legal issues and has worked in health care.
Kimberly Sampson knows that balance is needed in legislation and is ready to re-address the dangers in Eric Brakey’s concealed weapons legislation and its possible implications. Support for the right to bear arms must be balanced with citizens’ safety.
Sampson understands the importance of accepting existing federal funds for health care to address Maine’s health crisis. She believes Maine should be at the receiving end of the federal dollars that most states receive to help with the health of Maine’s citizens, hospital viability and care for the aging population.
I hope others will join me in voting for Kimberly Sampson on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
Rita Melendy, Auburn
