FARMINGTON — Holiday Celebrations around the World is this year’s theme for the 40th annual Chester Greenwood Day parade.
The annual parade, planned by the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce, will start at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, in the downtown.
The parade draws floats built by local businesses, service organizations, school groups, clubs and community members. It’s held rain or shine.
There will also be a gingerbread contest, chili contest, craft fairs, historical open houses, polar bear dip, 5K race, Festival of Trees and more.
Greenwood is best known for his invention of earmuffs, designing his first pair of ear protectors when he was 15 years old.
