FARMINGTON — The Farmington Parks and Recreation Department will hold a Trunk or Treat from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, at the Farmington Community Center parking lot.
Trunk or Treat is a convenient and safe alternative to Halloween evening trick-or-treating. Parking will be available behind the Catholic Church at Middle and Quebec streets.
Local families with children in eighth grade and younger are invited to participate and dress in a favorite costume while collecting candy from vehicle trunks.
There are cash prizes for decorated vehicles: first place, $250; second place, $100; third place, $50. The goal is to create friendly competition among trunk decorators and to encourage everyone to make the parking lot look fantastic for the children.
To register a vehicle, sign up at the Community Center before Oct. 28. There are a maximum of 20 slots available.
FMI: 207-778-3464.
