WILTON — Author Patricia O’Donnell will read from her newest book, “Waiting to Begin: A Memoir” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, at the Wilton Free Public Library, 6 Goodspeed St.

O’Donnell is the author of the novel, “Necessary Places,” and has had stories published in The New Yorker, AGNI Review, and the North American Review. Her collection of short fiction, “Gods for Sale,” will be published next winter.

She has lived in Wilton for nearly 30 years and directs the Bachelor of Fine Arts program at the University of Maine at Farmington.

This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served, and books will be available for purchase by Devaney Doak and Garrett Booksellers.
