For those people wondering what’s going on in Augusta, it makes a lot of difference who represents them and what information they receive from their elected officials.

Through the years, I have pretty much voted a straight ticket. It didn’t seem to matter if it was a Democrat or a Republican who got elected, because neither of them kept me informed of what was going on. I could pick up bits and pieces from newspaper or television accounts, but no contact through e-mails or mailings.

That all changed when Sen. Eric Brakey was elected. I think that any candidate who takes the time to personally visit a home and ask about a voter’s concerns, deserves to be his spokesperson.

I’ve been extremely well informed of all the legislation that has been brought to the floor of the Legislature by Sen. Brakey.

I support Eric Brakey. He gets the job done.
