1943 – 2016

LEWISTON — Charles Edward O’Neil Sr., 73, of Rumford died early Wednesday morning, Oct. 26, at the Marshwood Center in Lewiston.

He was born on May 11, 1943, in Scarborough, a son of Perry and Marjorie (Secord) O’Neil. Charles attended Yarmouth Academy and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps after school. On Nov. 5, 1965, he married Joyce Larrabee in Westbrook.

He worked for many years at S.D. Warren in Westbrook. Charles enjoyed being in the outdoors fishing and camping. He also loved NASCAR racing (especially Dale Earnhardt), WWE wrestling and country music.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce of Rumford; three children, Laurie Bilodeau of New Gloucester, Charles E. O’Neil Jr. and his fiancée, Karen Madore, of Hollis, and Tina Raymond of Hiram; two sisters, Sharon Shane of Buxton and Kathy Salls and her husband, Ken, of Mechanic Falls; seven grandchildren, Jessica, T.J., Davy, Joshua, Jeremy, Vaida and Ethan; several nieces and nephews; his beloved dog, Princess.

He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Stanley and David O’Neil.
