Poland and Raymond Republicans came together recently to meet select Republican candidates and to have a chance to talk with the candidates about the upcoming elections.
In particular, questions centered on the five referendum items. For Poland, Rep. Mike McClellan (House District 66 — parts of Poland, Raymond and Casco) attended and was very open about his positions. He indicated that he is against all five referendum items.
I appreciated his candor and reasons for being against the initiatives. I also appreciate that he has been available and involved in the life of Poland, even though he lives in Raymond. I know if I call him, he will get back to me. I know I will see him in town. I appreciate his efforts and work on behalf of Poland.
I hope others will join me in supporting Mike McClellan for re-election.
