FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Animal Shelter has announced its Pets of the Week.

Murdock is the Dog of the Week. He is a 2- to 3-year-old pit-mix, and he hopes to find a fur-ever home with a loving owner who has loads of time to spend with him. He doesn’t care to compete for affection, so a home where he would be the only pet will be best for him. This dog is smart, playful, energetic and loving.

Lynx, the Cat of the Week, is a sweet and lazy senior looking for her fur-ever friend to snuggle and sleep with. She doesn’t mind a home with other cats along as they don’t interrupt her favorite hobby, napping. 

Murdock, Lynx and other pets may be visited at the shelter at 550 Industry Road. Cats and dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption and have been vaccinated for rabies, treated for fleas, microchipped and have had nail trims. The shelter also rehomes barn cats, livestock and other pets.
