Upcoming college planning workshops
LEWISTON — The Maine Educational Opportunity Center will host free workshops titled Essentials of College Planning at 10 a.m. Wednesdays, Nov. 9, 23 and 30, at the Lewiston CareerCenter, 5 Mollison Way.
It’s open to adults 19 and older.

Pine Cone Chapter to meet
AUBURN — Pine Cone Chapter 26, Order of the Eastern Star, will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at the Masonic Hall, 1021 Turner St.
The chapter will honor all past and present grand representatives, with special honors to Mary Ann Perkins, grand representative to Italy.
The mascots for District 4, Jay O. and Jewel, will be at the chapter.
There will be a potluck supper at 6 p.m.
All Eastern Star members are welcome.
Danville Junction Grange to meet
AUBURN — Danville Junction Grange will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10.
A Thanksgiving program will be presented. Refreshments will be served at the close of the meeting.
Members are reminded to bring clipped coupons for the troops.
All members and guests are invited.
Spots open for NYC trip
LISBON FALLS — Sunshine Hill Neighbors will travel to New York City to see the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular Show Dec. 6 and 7.
They will depart the MTM center at 7 a.m. and arrive in New York in the early afternoon for lunch and explore Rockefeller Center, Times Square, Empire State Building and shop. That evening they will check into the hotel and dine at a nearby restaurant. The hotel will have train service nearby for those who would like to go back into the city at night or in the morning. The group will attend the 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, Rockettes performance at Radio City Music Hall and return home after the show.
The price of the trip is $259 per person for double occupancy and is open to any age. The cost includes bus transportation, hotel room, breakfast and show ticket. Reservations must be confirmed by Nov. 18.

Bridge club lists results
LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners of the annual American Contract Bridge League Club Appreciation Game on Oct. 24 were, first in A, Les Buzzell and Nancy Lindgren; second, Judy Abromson and Rosemarie Goodwin; third, Barbara Newcomb and Luke Merry; fourth/first in B, Marta Clements and Pete Cummings; fifth/second in B, Dick Allen and Richard Balian; third in B, Roger Labbe and Paul Sherman; first in C, Cindy Kirchherr and Jim Krainin; and, second in C, Ellie and George Wigton.
Winners on Oc. 24 were, first, Mike Quinn and Luke Merry; second, Pat Quinn and Roger Labbe; third Jeanine Kivus and Fred Letourneau.
Games are played at 9 a.m. Mondays and Tuesdays in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. A partner is always guaranteed and all bridge players are welcome.
