Rummage sale postponed
WILTON — Due to unforeseen circumstances, the rummage sale scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Nov. 4 and 5, at Wilton Congregational Church, 386 Main St., has been postponed to Friday and Saturday, Nov. 18 and 19.
Winter farmers’ market to begin
FARMINGTON — The Farmington Winter Farmers’ Market will begin Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Farmington Grange Hall, 124 Bridge St.
The market will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays until the end of April. There will be an extra market on Wednesday, Nov. 23, the day before Thanksgiving.

Christmas Stamp-A-Stack
PARIS — A Christmas Stamp-A-Stack event will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at Maine Veterans’ Homes, 144 High St.
Participants will make a total of 18 Christmas cards, three each of six different designs.
Proceeds will benefit the organization’s activities department.
Admission is $30, and registration is required by Monday, Nov. 7.

Essentials of College Planning
WILTON — The Maine Educational Opportunity Center will host a free workshop titled Essentials of College Planning at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at Wilton CareerCenter, 865 U.S. Route 2E.
The workshop is for adults 19 and older.

Journey through geologic time
BRYANT POND — Retired science teacher Jim Chandler will present a program demonstrating changes to the earth as shown from fossils collected in Maryland.
These fossils cover each geologic period from 1,100 million years ago to 10 million years ago. Chandler has samples from each geologic period.
The program will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at the Whitman Memorial Library. It’s free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
