“Those who forget history will be doomed to repeat it.” In 2000, Americans chose George W. Bush, a boastful businessman with no presidential experience. Two disasters resulted: the Iraq War in his first term and a major recession in his second, with millions losing their homes and jobs.

Donald Trump is another Bush, famous by name but ignorant on foreign policy, necessary regulation of Wall Street and climate change. He lies and talks tough — a trait some mistake for intelligence.

Some historians already say Bush failed as president and the Iraq War is the worst foreign policy decision ever made. We do not need another Bush.

Under Barack Obama, America has recovered from the recession, mostly withdrawn from two foreign wars and regained the trust of foreign governments. America needs to continue this path of slow, steady, intelligent leadership rather than chance another businessman with no presidential experience.
