LISBON FALLS — The weather was beautiful in Lisbon Falls on Sept. 17 as runners and walkers participated in the first Neighbors Helping Neighbors 5K Run/Walk, a fundraiser benefitting the Lisbon Area Christian Outreach Food Bank.

Trudy Duval, spokesperson for the Lisbon United Methodist Church event-planning team, reported that more than $2,000 had been received. Due to the success of this first-time event, another is planned for Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017.
