NORWAY — The Stephens Community Healthcare Foundation has announced that it is accepting grant applications until the end of the year.

Applications must be postmarked by Dec. 31, and awards will be decided on or before Feb. 1, 2017. Eligibility requirements for grants from the Stephens Community Health Care Foundation are tied to sustainable health care initiatives.

The Stephens Community Healthcare Foundation is a nonprofit organization that was created in 1999. The foundation’s primary purpose is to provide philanthropic support for the capital needs of Western Maine Health and Stephens Memorial Hospital.

Funding awards are generally limited to nonprofit organizations based in or benefiting health care initiatives in the Stephens Memorial Hospital service area.
