Pre-orders open for poinsettia sale

RUMFORD — Rumford Hospital Auxiliary is now taking pre-orders for its annual poinsettia sale.

The poinsettias will be potted in foil-wrapped and sleeved 8-inch pots. 

All pre-orders must be submitted by noon on Monday, Nov. 28.

They cost $10 each and will be delivered to Rumford Hospital and area businesses on Friday, Dec. 2. Pre-orders must be picked up at the hospital on Dec. 2. Payment is due in advance or upon delivery. Checks must be payable to Rumford Hospital Auxiliary. 

Funds generated from the sale will help the hospital and its staff purchase equipment and furnishings.

Farmington Historical Society to meet

FARMINGTON — Farmington Historical Society will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, at North Church, 118 High St., Farmington.

The meeting will start with a potluck and then a short meeting.

This month’s program, Titcomb Family Memories, will feature descendants of “Hat” Titcomb’s family recalling memories of “Greenacres” and the “Titcomb House,” now the FHS museum.

Everyone is welcome.

Parenting special needs child

FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Retired Educators will hold the final fall meeting on Monday, Nov. 28, in the Mt. Blue High School culinary arts center where lunch will be prepared and served by the students.

The program will be a presentation by Celeste Turner about being the parent of a special needs child.

There will be a book swap and mystery gift. Reservations are required.

Rumford Hospital jewelry, fashion sale

RUMFORD — Rumford Hospital Auxiliary Jewelry and Fashion Sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 28 and 29, in Conference Room A on the lower level of the Rumford Hospital.

The public is invited.
