LEWISTON — In preparation of the L-A Holiday Parade on Nov. 26, Community Credit Union will hold a holiday lighting celebration, 144 Pine St. Free pizza, hot chocolate, popcorn, visit from Monty Moose, holiday music, 6-7 p.m., Christmas lights turned on at 6:15 p.m.
WEDNESDAY, Nov. 23
LEWISTON-AUBURN — No school, Thanksgiving break begins. Schools reopen Nov. 28.
THURSDAY, Nov. 24
Happy Thanksgiving! Government, libraries and, under Maine law, all large stores closed.
FRIDAY, Nov. 25
Black Friday. Shoppers out in numbers.
SATURDAY, Nov. 26
LEWISTON-AUBURN —Twin Cities Holiday Celebration, Festival of Arts & Lights during the afternoon; Small Business Saturday; Hip-Hop Family Dance, horse-and-wagon rides begin at 5 p.m., Parade of Lights begins in Auburn and ends in Lewiston.
