LEWISTON — Calvary United Methodist Church will offer short, meditative Taize-style gatherings in the sanctuary of the church at 59 Sabattus St.

Prayer, readings, and Taize (chant-type) singing will provide a peaceful respite from the busy-ness of the season for those who wish to drop in.

The gatherings will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Nov. 30, Dec. 7 and Dec. 15.
