The Oasis of Music will present piano player James Parakilas at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Lewiston, 247 Bates St., Lewisoton,  from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30. Admission is free.  His program for this week’s concert includes music of Chopin, Shostakovich and Chabrier. Parakilas, a music scholar with a doctorate from Cornell University, teaches courses at Bates College. He plays the piano, often in chamber groups with students and colleagues, and coaches student chamber groups. FMI: 207-344-3106.
