1929 – 2016

LEWISTON — Emily A. Audet, 87, of Auburn died Sunday, Nov. 27, at Central Maine Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family, following a long illness.

She was born in Van Buren on Aug. 8, 1929, the daughter of the late Joseph and Donalda (Berube) Cyr and had been a resident of this community for most of her life. She was married to Joseph Audet and he died Jan. 22, 2007.

Emily was an avid bingo player, enjoyed word search puzzles and spending time with her granddaughters.

She is survived by one daughter, Louise Vye, and her husband, Jeffrey, of Lisbon; two granddaughters, Shantelle Vye and her boyfriend, Daniel Corkum, and Krystal Vye, all of Lisbon; three sisters, Patricia Morneault and her husband, Louis, of Scarborough, Yvonne Cyr of St. Leonard, New Brunswick, and Estelle Levasseur of Windsor, Conn.; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband Joseph, she was predeceased by four brothers, Roland, Normand, Raymond and Arthur Cyr.

The family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Hattan, Deanna Albert, NP, Shelly, Barbara, Millie and Bunny for the care they provided to Emily during her stay at Clover Manor.
