CAC to hold open house

LEWISTON — Children’s Advocacy Center of Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties will hold an open house from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, at 56 Lafayette St.

The center recently saw a major renovation.

“It started with a sheet rock contractor, who knew a furnace guy, who knew a flooring guy, and so on,” said Kat Perry, CAC coordinator. “We actually finished the project under budget. This would not have been possible without … a steadfast vision to create a sacred trauma-informed, child friendly, forensically sound space for the youngest victims of violence in our communities.”

Community Champion for Children Awards & Recognition Presentation will be held at 5:45 p.m.

Refreshments will be available.
