1931 – 2016

FARMINGTON — Albert Raymond Berry, 85, passed away Thursday, Dec. 1, at Orchard Park Rehabilitation and Living Center in Farmington, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on June 6, 1931, in Phillips, the son of Raymond and Laura (Kinney) Berry. He was educated in the schools of Phillips. On Nov. 12, 1949, he married Lorraine Coolong in Avon.

In his early years, he worked at Forster Manufacturin Co., Starbird Lumber and for Milt Stinchfield. Later on, he worked for the state of Maine department of transportation for 19 years. For many years, he was self-employed doing lumbering, farming and road construction. Albert was a member of the Blue Mountain Masonic Lodge No. 67 AF & AM and the Phillips Methodist Church. He loved being in the outdoors, and especially going out and riding on his four-wheeler with his dog.

He is survived by; his wife of 67 years, Lorraine Berry of Avon; his three daughters, Wanda Rolllins of Phillips, Vicki Worth and husband, John, of Chesterville, and Jill Berry Bowen and husband, Tim, of Avon and St. Albans, Vt.; three grandsons; five great-grandchildren; and nieces.
