LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners on Dec. 13 were, first, Paul Sherman and Mike True; second, Marta Clements and Dick Allen; third, Sharron Hinckley and Fred Letourneau; fourth, Jan and Vern Arey; and, tied for first and second in B, Cindy and Bob Kirchherr with Nancy Farmer and Roger Labbe.

Games are played at 9 a.m. Mondays and Tuesdays in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. All bridge players are welcome, and a partner is guaranteed.

The annual Christmas parties will be held during games on Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 19 and 20.

Eight Bates College students, community members and several Lewiston Bridge Club players joined forces in November for bridge play. A tournament was held Dec. 4.

Winners were, first, Bates students Mark Russell and Nick Beati; second, Cindy Gelinas and Cynthia Clifford; third, Nancy Farmer and Luke Merry; and fourth, Sam Krages and Cindy Kirchherr.

Other participants were Tim Griffin, Gerry Lachapelle, James MacDonald, Zach Doyon, Will Bessey, Ariel Lam and Jenny Servano; and bridge players Pat and Mike Quinn, Claire Lyons, Bob Kirchherr and Mike True. Rosemarie Goodwin directed the tournament and professor John Stadler guided the Bates students.
