1941 – 2016
LEWISTON — Madeleine Francoise Gendron, 75, of Lewiston and formerly of Biddeford, died Sunday, Dec. 11, at 24 Old Lisbon Road in Lewiston, following a brief illness.
She was born June 4, 1941, in Westbrook, a daughter of J. Maurice and Laurette (Doyon) Gendron. Until her early 30s, Madeleine lived at home with her family. She was a resident at Marcotte Home before moving in 2003 to 24 Old Lisbon Road, a nursing facility with Community Partners, Inc.
She is survived by a sister, Claudette G. Apicella of Decatur, Ga.; a brother, Dr. Richard Gendron and his wife, Lucy, of Kingsport, Tenn.; and nieces and nephews.
Maddy was a special person who enjoyed sharing laughter and smiles at home and in the local Lewiston community. She had a positive spirit toward accepting challenges and getting it done with the help of very supportive staff, family and friends. She will be missed.
