1923 – 2016
NAPLES, Fla. — Raymond A. “Ray” Gagne, 93, of Naples, Fla., passed away courageously and peacefully with loved ones present on Sunday, Dec. 11.
He was born to Dominique and Anna Gagne on Aug. 8, 1923, in Lewiston. He was married to his wife and soul mate, Virginia, for 70 years.
Ray was a highly decorated veteran of World War II as a bombardier in the U.S. Army Air Corps completing 46 successful missions when only 25 were required.
Ray will be remembered as a fiercely devoted husband, father and grandfather who always promoted the importance of love and family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Gagne; daughters, Linda Cohen and Debra (John) Wood; son, Richard Gagne; grandchildren, Lee Cohen, Robert (Kelly) Cohen, Derek Wood and Andrea Wood.
