Jeff Gagnon, right, president of the Mechanic Falls, Minot and Poland Tri-Town Optimist Club, recognizes Gracie Pray as Regional School Unit 16’s Student of the Month for December. Pray, a sixth-grader at Minot Consolidated School, is described by her teacher as an honest, humble and hardworking role model who has a compassionate heart for others. Sensitive and thoughtful to the feelings of her peers, she purposefully includes students who are left out and is always kind and helpful to those around her. Pray also enjoys activities such as piano, ballet, skiing and soccer.
