LIVERMORE FALLS — Treat Memorial Library has announced its activities for January.

Preschool Story Time: 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays. This month Story Time will be celebrate Winnie the Pooh creator A.A. Milne’s birthday and explore the themes of opposites and space. There will be songs, rhymes, stories, crafts and other activities to encourage a love of reading.

Teen Writers: 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10 and 24. This is a group for writers ages 12 to 18 to discuss ideas, get feedback on their work and respond to creative writing prompts. All genres of writing are welcome to be explored in this group.

Book Club: 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12. The club will have its final discussion on “Uncle Tom’s Cabin.” The next selection in the Civil War book discussion series will be “Mrs. Lincoln’s Dressmaker” by Jennifer Chiaverini. Those interested in participating in the conversation may contact the library for a copy of the book club selection.

Lego Club: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21. Participants can build one of the suggested challenges or whatever they feel inspired to make. This month the library will have a bridge building challenge, making a bridge that will hold the weight of 100 pennies. Lego creations will be on display for the following month at the library.

Knit/Crochet group: 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24. Participants may learn how to knit or crochet or work on their own projects with company.

The library will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 3, in observance of New Year’s Day and Tuesday, Jan. 17, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
