1933 – 2016

LEWISTON — Frank B. Wright Sr., 83, of Lewiston died Wednesday, Dec. 21, at d’Youville Pavilion.

He was born in Canaan on Jan. 21, 1933, the son of the late Dwight D. and Mary Catherine (Croud) and had been a resident of this community for most of his life.

He had served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

He was employed as an animal control officer from 1978 to 1998 in Brunswick and from 1969 to 1999 in Durham.

Frank was an avid Red Sox fan, enjoyed country music, talking politics, woodworking, fishing and most recently playing bingo.

He is survived by two sons, Frank “Sam” Wright Jr. and Howard Wright; two daughters, Peggy Boucher and Cindy Noyes; five stepchildren; one sister, Ruth Lentine; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret; and his siblings, June Shaw, Dwight Wright Jr. and Arlene Bean.
