1937 – 2016

PORTLAND — Margaret V. McAllister, 79, of Waterford passed away on Friday, Dec. 16, at Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Boston, Mass., on Oct. 21, 1937, the daughter of Albert and Hazel O’Neill Allen. She married Eugene McAllister on June 29, 1957, and had been a homemaker all of her life.

She enjoyed camping, canoeing, trips fishing down the Crooked River and gardening. She loved spending time with her family and liked to make different recipes.

She is survived by her son, Dale McAllister and his wife, Marcia; her daughter, Lisa Scribner and her significant other, Ray Fox; grandchildren, Katie Libby and her husband, Corey, Kristina Wilson and her husband, Eric, Jesse Scribner and his significant other, Sierra Grover, Tamra Scribner and her partner, Sierra McDaniels; four great-grandsons, Cooper and Carter Libby and Blake and Trent Wilson; her siblings, Albert Allen, Dorothy McDonald and Merle McAllister.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Eugene; sisters, Ruth Swett, Evelyn McAuliffe and Irene Trimbeck.
