If school is canceled, there will be no luncheon.

LEWISTON — Prince of Peace Parish “Life Teen” youth group will be selling desserts during the next Holy Cross Knights of Columbus Take Out Beans event from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at the Holy Cross church hall, 1080 Lisbon St.

A portion of profits from bean orders will go to help the group with fundraising efforts.

Orders may be called in the day of the event.

Cost: Prices range from $3 for a pint of beans to $10 for “the works.”

There will be casseroles and a raffle of baked goods and household items.

FARMINGTON — The Farmington School District, the Technical Center and SeniorsPlus will offer Senior Buffets this winter.

Under the guidance of chef Sean Minear, the culinary arts students at Foster Career and Technical Education Center will serve a buffet luncheon for seniors 60 and older at their Chef’s Table Cafe at Mt. Blue High School, 129 Seamon Road.

The buffets will be offered from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursdays, Jan. 12, Feb. 9 and March 9.

Reservations are required by Friday, Jan. 6, for the Jan. 12 buffet.

Cost: $3.
