LEWISTON — Two new babies were welcomed early Sunday morning.
Charlotte Oh of Lewiston gave birth to Lewiston’s first baby of the year, Zander Reuben Callahan, at 12:03 a.m. Jan. 1 at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. Her boyfriend, Daryn Callahan, was with her during the birth.
“I’m doing good,” Oh said.
Zander, born after 18 hours of labor, weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces, with a length of 19 and a half inches.
After 30 hours of labor, Kaylee Hardy gave birth to daughter Avriy’anna Harrison at 1:26 a.m. Sunday at Central Maine Medical Center. The baby’s father is Jovan Harrison.
Avriy’anna had a birth weight of 5 pounds, 11 ounces, with a length of 19 inches. Hardy’s friend, Makala O’Brien, was with Hardy during the birth process and said everyone was doing well.
