Library offering Story Time

DIXFIELD — There will be Story Time Mondays from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Ludden Memorial Library, except during school closings and holidays.

There will be stories, crafts and healthy snacks.

Science for Seniors at RPL

RUMFORD — Rumford Public Library will offer Science for Seniors from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesdays, Jan. 10 to Feb. 28.

It will be led by Dr. Anne Morin, Ph.D, a former professor at University of California at Los Angeles School of Medicine, Department of Neurology, and chief of neurology research at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Sepulveda, California.

The course will address topics in modern biology, including various body systems in anatomy and physiology, the DNA revolution, topics in evolution, the microscopic world, genetics and mutations and photosynthesis.

Participants are encouraged to bring their questions and are asked to commit to the eight-week series.

Refreshments will be served.

Bethel Seniors to meet

BETHEL — The Bethel Senior Citizens Club will meet at 11 a.m.Wednesday, Jan. 11, at the Bethel Methodist Church for a meeting and dinner.

This will be a potluck; members should bring a dish to share.

The annual auction will also be held at this meeting, a fundraiser for the club. Members should bring items to auction.
