DEAR SUN SPOTS: Yesterday a man with a green tractor removed the snow from around our mailbox on Route 124 in Minot. I would like to say thank you! That was a very nice thing to do. — No name, Minot.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: This is a big thank you to whoever plowed out the front of Sixth Street Congregational Church after the snow storm. It looks like a pay loader came in to do it! We certainly appreciate it. — Judy, Auburn.

ANSWER: It’s so wonderful that someone took the time to help you out, snow removal can be a real pain. Thank you for sharing your stories.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: After the last snow storm, residents of Roak Block want to purchase some shovels to use when we need them. To raise this money, we are having an auction on Saturday, Jan. 7 at 9 a.m. When our friends move out their families give us the items that they no longer need or want, then we have an auction. We will also have food to sell so we can take a lunch break. The money we earn goes toward buying things we need, like snow shovels. Hope to see you all on Saturday at 9 a.m. — Leta, Auburn.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Clover Health Care is looking for 2017 calendars. If you have 2017 calendars to donate, please drop them off in the lobby at Clover Health Care, 440 Minot Ave in Auburn. For more information please call 207-784-3573. Thank you. — Jim Parker, Auburn.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am in search of anyone who might have one of the Dunkin’ Donuts Community Cups available for purchase. I have been a supporter of this program for many years and hope to continue. I can be reached at 207-577-6172. Thank you. — Sandra, Lewiston.
