LEEDS — The Leeds Historical Society had a busy fall, presenting “Ghost Stories and Encounters with the Spirit World” and a program by Maine’s apple guru, John Bunker.

Members also spent many hours working on renovations to the History Center at the old Town Office. The wainscoting is in place and the sheetrock work has been done. When warm weather returns, the walls will be painted and the floors sanded and refinished.

Members will continue to work on the compilation of Leeds stories and articles for the Leeds anthology. Members have met with Bobbi Bowler of Monmouth to learn some of the technical aspects of this project.

They are still hoping people will share their memories or photographs for inclusion in Leeds’ collection.

Those who have something they would like to share may call Pam Bell at 207-933-4121. Help will be available for those who don’t feel confident about writing a story.
