HELLO SUN SPOTS: I am looking for someone within a reasonable distance from the Livermore area who can make picture frames using old barn boards. I have the boards and need a couple of frames made. You can contact me at 207-897-6536. Thank you. — Linda, Livermore.

ANSWER: This one might be up to all of you crafty folks out there. If this is a skill that you have, please contact Linda.

There are woodworking shops all over Maine, some that even specialize in working with reclaimed barn boards. Finding one within a reasonable distance from Livermore is a challenge though.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I would like to thank an unknown person for their kindness on Dec. 25. I made an order at Mountain Valley Variety in Rumford for our family’s Christmas Day get together and when I went to pay for it they said it was all paid for. Thank you ever so much, whoever you are, we will pay it forward. So thoughtful of you, have a happy new year. — Cormier family, Rumford.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have searched two of the major grocery stores in L-A for canned grapefruit. I was unsuccessful. Is this item out of season? — No name, Auburn.

ANSWER: This must not be a very common product in this area or, as you say, during this season. Sun Spots reached out to several local grocers and found one store that keeps canned grapefruit in stock, Food City. Both their Turner and Lisbon Falls locations carry canned Del Monte brand grapefruit.

If anyone has seen this product elsewhere or if your store carries this product, please write in to Sun Spots to let readers know.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I would like to thank the person who last week found my camera’s memory card at Hannaford on Spring Street in Auburn and turned it in at the service desk. That card contains some very important pictures of people in my life and I am very thankful to get it back. Thank you so much whoever you are. — Grateful Grammie, Auburn.
