‘Essentials of College Planning’

LEWISTON — The Maine Educational Opportunity Center will host two free workshops, “Essentials of College Planning,” for adults 19 and older.

The workshops will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, and Wednesday, Jan. 18, at the Lewiston CareerCenter, 5 Mollison Way.

Guidance through grief support groups

LEWISTON – Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice will offer free support groups for adults who are grieving the loss of a loved one.

Each group will meet weekly for eight weeks. While free to attend, registration is required.

Food pantry seeks donations

AUBURN — The High Street Congregational Church Food Pantry has ongoing needs for the following items: peanut butter, canned vegetables, soup, canned pasta, canned meats, canned fruit, dry cereal, baking items, soup, crackers and toilet paper.

Auburn United Methodist Church collects items for the pantry. Donations may be brought to 439 Park Ave.

Cribbage League lists winners

LEWISTON — Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners on Jan. 5 were, first, Sue Fisher and Don Haley; second, Betty Ames and Trudy Faunce; third, Dennis Gosselin and Monique Nadeau; fourth, Roland Bosse and Bob Masse; and fifth, Jim Burgess and Gil Cote.

The Seniors play on Thursdays at the Lewiston Memorial Armory.
