As a lifelong Democrat, I have to stand behind LL Bean and Linda Bean’s decision to support Donald Trump.
LL Bean is undoubtedly the best retail outlet anywhere in the world, with high quality products at reasonable prices backed by lifetime guarantees. They employ a boatload of people and they make huge contributions of clothing to a wide variety of needy people, including down jackets and backpacks to school children.
That is not to mention that Linda Bean has the constitutional right to back any candidate she chooses for president without worrying about people boycotting a company she participates in.
If folks want to go after the Beans, they had better come with more than candidate preference. Instead of grabbing their wallets, they should try grabbing the Constitution.
